It’s 36.5 centimetres in height, it’s made of 18 carat gold and you can only touch it if you’ve won it. It’s the World Cup Trophy and the Peloton’s top team of camera operators and editors are following it on the Fifa World Cup Trophy tour by Coca Cola. We are filming it on its tour around the UK; from Southend to London to Glasgow and then onto Manchester and Cardiff. Sadly that’s where our filming will end, we would have loved to have followed it all the way to Brazil!
However, our team did get to meet the Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge who appeared at a press event in London. In a filmed interview, he told us that he would love the chance to get his hands on the trophy and that, if he goes to the tournament and scores, he hasn’t decided how he’ll celebrate.
We wish Danny and the England boys the very best in Brazil, though winning the trophy may be an ask too far.
